An original artwork, “Relief in white no. 63”. Sculpted by Swedish artist Lars-Erik Falk in 1981.
The relief consists of three separate parts. The middle section staggers on both the horizontal and vertical planes and is placed at a 73-degree angle to the other sections. This is a significant figure in Falk’s oeuvre.
The work is signed, titled and dated on the back in marker by the artist.
About Lars-Erik Falk
Lars-Erik Falk (Uppsala 1922 – Sigtuna 2018) was a Swedish sculptor and painter, who reached International fame as a constructivist artist.
Lars Erik Falk received his formal training as a painter in Stockholm in the 1940s. After his training, he held his first solo exhibition at Galerie Welamsson in Stockholm in 1952.
He is considered one of the few Swedish artists to belong to the Constructivists. A style he remained true to throughout his life.
In his oeuvre he frequently uses painted aluminium profiles in different colours, placed diagonally, upwards, with an inclination of 73 degrees.
Falk is represented at the Kalmar Art Museum, the Centre Culturel Suédois in Paris and the Graphic Institute in Stockholm, among others.
